Decade Two of Racing Against Cancer!

My DPR teammates and I recently accepted the challenge of raising money for the Dragon Boat Upstate Festival which benefits patients and families served by the GHS Cancer Institute.

The event this year will be on May 4th, and that is a special date for one of our own DPR teammates. On that date last year (her birthday), she was diagnosed with cancer. She has been fighting all year, and I am happy to say that when we paddle on May 4th this year we will be celebrating her cancer being in remission!!! Unfortunately, there are far too many other personal stories from this year that didn't end as happily.
