Gifts of Gratitude
A patient or family member’s ability to express gratitude for care provided by a doctor, nurse or other member of their caregiving team can be an important part of the healing process.
The Prisma Health Upstate Foundation established the Gifts of Gratitude program to extend patients and their loved ones the opportunity to thank and honor caregivers who have made a difference in their lives by making a charitable gift to Prisma Health.
Legacy Society
The Prisma Health-Upstate Foundation Legacy Society recognizes the generous intentions of our most forward-thinking, philanthropic supporters – those who build their legacies by making a planned gift, a provision in their estate plan, or an endowment gift of $25,000 or more to benefit Prisma Health-Upstate.
Legacy Society members receive updates on the programs they support, invitations to private events, opportunities to meet with Prisma Health leaders, physicians that benefit from their generosity, and more. If you haven’t already, please consider becoming a member of the Legacy Society. Your gift will help us go beyond the ordinary to deliver the exceptional healthcare experience that every patient and family deserves.
Planned Giving/Bequest
The Prisma Health-Upstate Foundation is pleased to offer a range of planned giving options as varied as our many generous donors. Choosing to plan now for the legacy you’ll leave behind is an excellent way to impact the future of health care in the Upstate and beyond.
Planned giving is defined as an established plan to distribute your assets at the time of your passing. Often a bequest is made from securities, real estate investments, or life insurance. Know that your bequest can be changed or revoked at any time should your situation change.
A bequest is a gift to Prisma Health-Upstate Foundation made at the time of your passing, often through a will or living trust. Establishing a bequest is a powerful way to demonstrate your support now, and entitles you to membership in our Prisma Health-Upstate Foundation Legacy Society.
To learn more about the planned giving options available to you, discuss your plans with your attorney or tax advisor and set up an appointment with our Prisma Health-Upstate Foundation Charitable Planning Specialist.
Matching Gifts
Use the power of your employer’s matching gifts program to double or even triple your gift to Prisma Health-Upstate Foundation.
Memorial Gifts
Many families request that memorial gifts be made to Prisma Health in lieu of flowers. A gift in memory of a loved one is a beautiful way to pay tribute and help ensure that high-quality health care and services are available to those in need throughout our community.
Gift of Securities
Stock or securities can be transferred electronically. To set up a transfer, please contact us at the Upstate Foundation at 864-797-7746.
Tribute Gifts
Honor a special person with a memorial or recognize a special occasion.
Volunteering
Throughout the year we have several volunteering opportunities, both at our special events and in the office.
Event volunteers help at our major events, helping us create the best possible experience for our attendees. Events include our Dragon Boat Upstate Festival, Run4Life and more OneDay pop-up events.
